Amsterdam underground metro construction 2007

Under the old city of Amsterdam preparations are being made to create a new metro line. From september 27-30 2007 the location under the Damrak (across central station) was opened up to the public by the Amsterdam Underground festival. This 24 meter deep concrete 'cathedral' called 'caisson 1' is the place where the drill will be built and start its journey. A giant artistic video projection and a light show were part of this event. I filmed this myself with a Canon Ixus/Digital Elph camera.
